Nervous about this, but sometimes you've just gotta give putting something out there a go.

also shading could be a little darker, background lighter. things in the distance fade into the sky. cacti conflict with the perspective and should be up higher. i really like the design though, especially the shirt and the feet. there are some white spots in your coloring. when i work with watercolors i start by coloring solid bases in pen and then use watercolors for the shading, and i would recommend this method to avoid that. your anatomy isn't bad but one hand is bigger than the other. the shirt should be resting on the back of his neck or on his shoulders because gravity. you should try using a canvas that isn't square as usually they can allow for more interesting compositions.

Jeff, i like your style and i think you have a lot of potential- the only criticism i can offer is that you could stand to work on proportion a bit more. Looking forward to your next tryout!

I think it's good. The only criticism I can offer is that I think the shadow under the turtle and sign should be much darker. But it would remain to be seen whether or not that change would then necessitate the background becoming lighter, like Nobody suggested.

Thank you. I noticed some of those designs reminded me of the breautiful mandelbrot fractals.

It wasn't mendelbrot I was thinking of. It was those subatomic particle collision plates from particle colliders.
